AirAsia and Malaysia Airlines, two brands that have suffered three major air disasters between
them over the last two years, have emerged top of a listing of the most improved brands in
the eyes of the Singapore public over the first six months of 2016.
According to aranking by pollster Yougov, AirAsia ranks top of the poll that measures what
the Singaporean public said they’ve heard about the brand through advertising, news or word
of mouth, balancing out positive and negative sentiment.
The KL-based low cost carrier comes out just ahead of domestic rival Malaysia Airlines in the poll,
followed by Singtel, which by the telco’s former head of marketing’s own admission has
struggled to win over the affections of Singaporeans.
